Class Descriptions

Aerial Beginnings - A gentle beginner class (60 minutes) teaching the fundamentals of aerial yoga. You will mostly be on the ground in Aerial Beginnings classes. After warming up, the instructor will guide the group through a series of movements increasing flexibility, strength, and balance. No one should be intimidated by Aerial Beginnings classes--they are accessible to people of every fitness level and age.
Doors are locked when the class begins. No mats. No tank tops. Registration required via Mindbody.

Prerequisites: None

Restorative Aerial Yoga - Brainchild of our founder, Amanda Field. Gentle Restorative class using aerial hammocks, weighted bags, essential oils, props, and a singing bowl.  Safe during pregnancy!  No mats. No tank tops.  Registration required via Mindbody ($10 suggested donation).

Prerequisites: None

Aerial Mixed Levels - Aerial Beginnings class (60 minutes) introducing hanging inversions, back bends, and flips. Core, balance, and flexibility training using the aerial hammock and grip handles. Think: Pilates in a hammock. Instructor will demonstrate and circulate around the room to to provide assistance. Doors are locked when the class begins. No mats. No tank tops. Registration required via Mindbody.

Aerial Conditioning - Beginner aerial yoga with added cardio. 60-minute class that will tire the body and engage the mind. Counts toward the 5 beginner classes required to advance to Aerial Experienced. Doors are locked when the class begins. No mats. No tank tops. Registration required via Mindbody.

Suggested Prerequisite: 5 Hatha or Vinyasa yoga classes

Aerial Experienced -  Core and flexibility training for experienced aerialists. Inversions, back bends, and spinal traction. Instructor provides verbal cues and models poses.  Doors are locked when the class begins. No mats. No tank tops. Registration required via Mindbody.

Prerequisites: 5 Aerial Beginnings and/or Mixed Levels classes. Must be able to invert (and execute poses learned in Aerial Beginnings classes) without help.

Aerial Strong - An intense aerial asskicking with @jadebellyyoga (60 minutes). Strength and conditioning for your entire body.  Doors are locked when the class begins. No mats. No tank tops. Registration required via Mindbody.

Prerequisites: 5 Aerial Beginnings and/or Mixed Levels classes. Ability to invert without help.

 

Aerial Open Gym - Members-Only silks experience with Ivan! Registration required via Mindbody.  

Prerequisites: 10 Aerial Beginnings classes. Demonstrated understanding of hanging inversion safety.

Ground Yoga

Hatha/Beginner Yoga - Beginner-friendly 60-minute class offering breathing exercises, yoga postures, and prop integration. Seated and standing poses, core-strengthening, and standing balance work. Prerequisites: None

Flow/Vinyasa Yoga - Intense yoga class (60 minutes) offering breathing exercises, breath-centered movements, and yoga postures. Modifications and extensions offered as needed. Not "hot yoga," but you will sweat.

Suggested Prerequisite: 5 Hatha Yoga Classes

Yin/Restorative Yoga - Beginner-friendly class (60-minutes) offering meditation, aromatherapy, yoga postures, sound healing, and prop integration.  Excellent for individuals with auto-immune disorders, chronic fatigue, and exhaustion. Prerequisites: None

Acro/Partner Yoga - Join Mo and Jeff with a Beginner-Friendly acro yoga class. Learn fundamentals, partner communication, safe and consensual partner touching. You will get stronger and learn how to base, fly and spot!
