If you're late to class, what should you do?

We understand that life happens. Traffic is unpredictable, trains stop on tracks, and sometimes we are late.

We ask that if you are running more than 5 minutes late that you do not attempt to attend class. Please reschedule via email or text.

We have reasons for this. The first 5-10 minutes of class are warm ups. When you aren't warmed up there is a greater risk for injury. Our insurance, our teachers, and our team members really strive to maintain the highest standards for our clients. When we ask you to reschedule, we aren't being mean. We are actually holding a clear and healthy boundary for you to ensure yours and our safety.

In addition to ensuring your safety and ours, we are showing respect to our teachers, who show up 15-20 minutes early to prep the room, greet our guests, and hold space for your practice. When people arrive late, the other students in the room are affected by this, and it's just not a standard that we chose to manage.

Please be mindful of our policies and our rules as they are for the benefit of our entire studio. Our cancel policies will apply for our reservations.

If you find yourself being chronically late, perhaps set your clock to arrive 10-15 minutes early. This is something that I've done over the years and it works very well.

Lastly, take advantage of our online classes. If you miss class because you are running late, hop onto our online class database and watch an On Demand class. You can still do your yoga class this way. Remember to breathe and take some time to slow down and manage your energy (and time).
